Fine antique ladies pocket watch with a lovely design, made in France in the late 19th century (circa 1890). The watch remains in wonderful condition and works perfectly. In order to guarantee it, the movement has been submitted to a detailed cleaning and tuning process so today the watch can be used without any problem. The case is made of French solid silver and shows off a charming and delicate design, with hand-engraved motives decorating the case and the rear cap. The watchs face is made of white porcelain with black Roman numbers and small red numbers indicating the hours after 12:00 a.m. It is in great condition and shows no visible flaws or hairlines. The filigree hands, delicate and beautiful, are made of golden metal. The silver-plated frame that supports the protecting glass is engraved by hand with a fine abstract fringe made up by tiny parallel lines. The rear cap also bears a lovely hand-engraved decoration composed of simple and schematic vegetal motives and volutes. The decoration of the rear cap shows some gilt silver shapes that make a nice contrast with the rest of the piece. The crown shows this color too: its bright coppery shine makes a fine combination with the solid silver metal, providing the watch with a fine detail. Inside the rear cap we can see a diamond-shaped mark with a bird-like shape inside, probably the silversmith hallmark, as well as the French hallmark for small solid silver pieces. We can also see the serial number 15027 engraved in the metal. Under the rear cap rests the watchs movement, delicate and precise. This fine antique ladies pocket watch is a small jewel with decades of history, perfect to accompany the most stylish lady. Measurements: Width: 20 mm. Height (with Crown): 38 mm.
