Wonderful antique Universal Watch Extra pocket watch with 18K solid-gold casing, minute repater, half chronometer and in very good working order. The watch comes from Switzerland, where it was manufactured circa 1910. Though being one century old, this item is in really good condition. The casing shows two very slight hits, scarcely visible and that in no way interfere with the watchs remarkable beauty. The watch works fine. It includes a half chronometer and minute repeater with a small flaw: when it should chime 14 minutes, it only chimes 13. It's the only flaw. The rest of the quarters and minutes are given accurately.The watch is an extremely beautiful piece with a simple elegance. The front cap bears no decoration at all; its inner side bears the Swiss gold hallmark, the mark 18K and the serial number 303912 engraved in the metal. Under this cap, the white face with black Arab numbers is protected by the original glass pane. It mounts pear-shaped (poire) dark cobalt-blue metal hands. Over the white background we can see the inscription UNIVERSAL WATCH EXTRA. The rear cap is not decorated too and bears the same engraved marks and inscriptions; under this cap, the solid-gold dustcap boasts a fine engraved decoration including the medals awarded to de brand in different expositions and events and the inscription Universal Watch Extra Half Chronometer.This antique Universal Watch Extra pocket watch is a real collectors item, as gorgeous as antique.Measures: Diameter 52 mm.
