Antique Pocket Watch Chain. Solid 14K gold. Circa 1850

Gorgeous Antique pocket-watch chain made of 14K solid gold. The chain is dated circa 1850 and has survived to our days in excellent condition. This is a high-quality goldsmiths piece, with a very decorative and elaborate design that provides it with singular charm and style. Though it bears no hallmarks, it has been tested by a good professional who has verified the quality of the gold it is made of. The chain is composed of long links made up by slim symmetrical moldings. They are connected by thick rings. Hanging from one of the rings we can see a cylindrical sleeve which contains a gold key used to wind up a pocket watch. At the end of the chain there is a small shield-shaped reliquary, beautifully decorated and with gold tassels. These reliquaries were bound to store and protect small items related to the loved one: a tuft of hair, a portrait Beautiful and full of charm, this Antique 14K solid-gold pocket-watch chain is a collectors item which has survived for more than one hundred and fifty years.
