Antique solid-silver pocket watch with cylinder escapament, made in Switzerland for the German market circa 1900. This is an original piece made between the late 19th and the early 20th century, in very good condition and excellent working order. The watchs movement has been cleaned and overhauled in order to guarantee a good performance. The casing is entirely made of solid silver except for the metal dustcap. The rings that frame the dial and the rear cap are decorated with delicate engraved volutes, enhanced by a subtle gold-plated patina. The dial is white with black Arab numerals and coppery metal Louis XV hands. The rear cap is decorated with a hand-engraved horse head and a flower; inside we can see the Swiss and German silver hallmarks, the silver proportion and the serial number 28969. Under it, the dustcap protects the movement and bears the same serial number engraved in its inner face. The watchs chain is not made of silver but fulfills perfectly its duty and remains in great condition. Stylish and in working order, this antique solid-silver pocket watch with cylinder escapement will stand out as part of any gentlemans outfit. Measurement: Width: 45 mm.
