Antique English silver pocket watch chain with hallmarks, made in Birmingham in 1910 and greatly preserved. This is a delicate and original piece, which remains in excellent condition though being more than one hundred years old. The chain is composed of a series of wide and slim links, different in size, oval in shape and slightly twisted. At one end it is connected to a silver snap clip designed to be connected to the watch. The other end is attached to a silver bar and a shield-shaped pendant with an opening, probably bound to host a photograph or a portrait. Both the bar and the pendant bear a series of hallmarks which testify for the quality, the ancient age and the origin of the chain. We can see the mark for Birmingham silver (an anchor) and the one for 1910. The pendant is decorated with fine and delicate hand-engraved motifs. Sober and attractive, this antique English silver pocket watch chain is an early-20h-century piece, authentic and timeless. Dimensions: Length: 16.9 in / 43 cm. Weight: 40.5 g.
