Antique Tarts verge-fusee pocket watch with double silver casing, made in London, England in 1790 and in working order. Though being more than 200 years old, the watch has survived to our days in fine condition and preserves its attractive and functionality. The outer cases front lid is made of hand-embossed solid silver, with a complex mythological motif framed by scrolls. On the other hand, the inner casing (containing the dial and the movement) is also made of silver. The rear cap bears a series of hallmarks and inscriptions which provide data such as the country of manufacture, the year of making and the serial number: 62648. The dial is white and has black Roman hour markers and Arab minute markers, with Louis XV golden metal hands. The dial bears the name TARTS LONDON printed in black lettering. The watchs movement is beautiful and has the same hand-engraved inscription and the serial number which we found at the casing. Fine-looking and well preserved, this antique Tarts verge-fusee pocket watch with double silver casing is an old-time jewel in excellent condition. Dimensions: Watchs Diameter: 42 mm.
