Antique verge-fusee pocket watch with double case and green shagreen, signed by James Jamieson and made circa 1760. The watch works really fine and is in optimal condition. Very rare in this very good state of preservation. The outer case is covered in green shagreen, a finely-preserved original covering. The inner case is made of brass and mounts a white dial with black Roman numerals and black hands. The movement is really gorgeous and bears the watchmakers signature engraved by hand in the plate: James Jamieson, London 393. The fusee is an amazing openwork piece with a fine engraved flower in the center. Inside the outer cases rear cap we find the original distributors label, a piece o paper with the companys name printed in black on a light-colored background. Its ihnerent beauty and excellent performance turn this antique verge-fusee pocket watch with double case and green shagreen, signed by James Jamieson, in a really exceptional article.
