Antique Blued Steel Omega Pocket Watch. Switzerland, Circa 1920

Antique blued-steel Omega pocket watch, made in Switzerland circa 1920 and very stylish. It is in good working order and condition, showing only slight signs of the trace of time and the use, logical in an article which is nearly one hundred years old. The front cap is made of glass and lets us see a beautiful white porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals, 24-hour red numerals and black metal cathedral-style hands. It has the OMEGA brand name and logo at the 12 position. The blued-steel casing has grooved edge and non-decorated rear cap; the only remarkable piece is the crown, made of gilt metal. The dustcap protects a sober and accurate movement, finely preserved and with the brand name engraved in one of its parts.

Its elegant design turns this antique Omega blued-steel pocket watch into a very special item, as part of a collection or to be used on a daily basis.

Dimensions: Diameter: 50 mm.

Omega Watches - History

Omega is one of the most renowned watchmakers in the world. It was founded in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1848. Its founder was Louis Brandt. From then on and to this day (currently the brand belongs to the Swatch group), the firm has developed striking designs and movements that have spread its quality all over the world. In 1900 Omega got the Grand Prix in the Paris World Fair, and during the 20th century they became official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The watch that wore the first man on the moon was also an Omega: the Omega Speedmaster that Neil Armstrong wore during the landing.
