Decorative Bronze Wall Clock with Paris 8 day mechanism and 1900's Hours and Half Hours chiming. Beautiful clock with decorative solid bronze case decorated with neo-Gothic motifs based on scrolls, leaves and the beautiful pointed arches that crown the piece. The pointed shape and the openwork decoration, as well as the grotesque figures on the sides, evoke the Gothic cathedrals of the Middle Ages. The cream-colored porcelain dial with Roman numerals painted in black enamel is crowned in the center by a circular vegetal decoration that matches the decorative case. The metal hands are decorated with stylized vegetal scrolls typical of the Gothic style. The front is domed with original crystal, which has a small crack that does not detract from the beauty of the piece. It is in perfect conditions of conservation and functioning, with the revision done and ready to make it work, all the parts are original and the original key is included. Artistic styles will be reflected in all types of pieces, as seen in this example. During the 19th century there was an important resurrection of the previous styles, among which Baroque, Rococo, or as in this case Gothic, stood out. Although in some cases the characteristics of the style were exaggerated, and often the styles appear mixed, some of the most decorative pieces emerge with their own personality. Magnificent and decorative clock perfect for those who appreciate the value of a piece like this. Measures: 62 cms height x 29 cms width.
