Lovely and elegant wall clock made of walnut wood. The box is made up of several wooden pieces with different colors and veneers, whose combination makes a very decorative effect. This clock is a very antique piece which dates from the end of the 19th century, circa 1890. It is in perfect working order and chimes the hours and the half hours. The wood has been fully restored: although it has some old woodworm holes, it has been thoroughly treated and the holes are covered. The wood is clean and polished and it shows a beautiful golden brown color. The clock is adorned with turned and carved wooden pillars, as well as decorative details also made of carved wood, volutes, turned trims and it has also a wonderful top carving in the shape of an eagle with the wings open. The animal is highly realistic and the carving is skillfully performed. The face is protected by a wooden door that can be opened. All the wooden pieces are original and in good condition, with no broken or missing parts. Both the face and the pendulum bob are very remarkable pieces. The numbers are black and gothic, very elegant and nice. In the center of the face there is a big round brass plate decorated with a winged angels head located in the upper part. The pendulum bob shows an engraving depicting Neptune, the sea god. The machinery is in perfect condition and working order, and it bears two engraved letters: E. D., and the serial number 61239. This is undoubtedly a magnificent and elegant wall clock, truly original and perfect to highlight the most stylish room. Measurements: 430 mm width x 970 mm height.
