Fantastic wall clock with a classic and harmonious design, made of solid wood. Its a German clock made in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century by the Hamburg American Clock (HAC). The clock has been completely restored and looks almost flawless, ready hang from the wall. Its movement has also undergone a process of cleaning and tune-up, and the clock currently offers excellent performance, chiming each hour and halves over a gong. The clock is made of walnut veneer and has beautiful hand-carved side columns in stained beech wood. It has a beautiful white dial with black Roman numeration and red motifs between numbers, which is in perfect condition. Under the dial of the clock we can see the fantastic pendulum of golden brass, in perfect state of conservation and decorated with a motif that represents a sun surrounded by what appear to be flames or vegetable scrolls. At the top of the box is the classic finish made of turned symmetrical pieces.Inside the box rests the movement, made in brass and that has engraved the logo of the HAC in the metal, a logo representing two crossed arrows. Corresponds to the Hamburg American Clock (HAC), also known as HAU (Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik) in Germany. This company was founded in 1876 by the son-in-law of the widow of Erhard Junghans, Paul Landenburger, who then worked for the famous clock company as managing director. In principle the company took the name of Landenburger & Lang, but in 1883 changed to Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik. The company achieved great success by the quality and beauty of its clocks. In the year 1930, the HAC was definitely absorbed by Junghans.A beautiful and functional antique wall clock, which will be beautiful in any home.Measurements: Height: 114 cm.
