Antique French Wall Clock Morez Type Approximately 1900. It is composed of a beautiful square bronze upper case decorated with vegetable forms, which collects the magnificent alabaster dial with the Roman numerals of the hours in blue and white enamel, surrounded by a beautiful vegetable decoration. The metal hands are finely openworked with stylized vegetal scrolls. From the case hang decoratively the two weights and the simple pendulum of rods that ends in a circular lens with glossy finish.It has alarm clock and is in perfect condition of conservation and operation, with the review made and ready to make it work. All parts are original and the original key is included. The first domestic clocks were the wall clocks moved with weights, which generally lasted 30 hours, but later, in the seventeenth century, the spring mechanism would appear, which caused the real revolution in the world of clocks, as it allowed continuous operation for eight days.A real innovation for the time! This type of clock was characterized by round dials and the body extended downwards, but the decoration varied greatly from one country to another.
