This decorative standing crucifix is a very interesting piece because of its ancient age and its beautiful design. It was made in France in the 1900s and has survived to our days in excellent condition, looking as attractive and elegant as when it was manufactured. The crucifix is very original as it is made of two different kinds of metal. The base and the cross are made of silvery metal, shiny and polished, while the parts that are screwed to them (the figure of crucified Christ, the plate with the inscription INRI, the rays that surround t he top of the cross and the Lamb of God) are made of golden metal, creating a nice contrast with the rest. The crucifix stands on a solid and decorative base. It is square in shape and has four curved and engraved legs. The stem on which the cross stands has a central node engraved with vegetal-inspired motives, while the base itself has two moldings decorated with the same designs. The front of the base has a screwed metal piece with the engraved Lamb of God. The cross stands on the base: it is a stylized and simple piece with the ends of its parts (the patibulum and the stipes) trimmed with engraved scallops. This striking sacred art piece will provide the most special room with an elegant and original touch.Measurements: Width: 7.4 in/19 cm. Height: 20.4 in/52 cm.
