Amazing antique solid-silver ciborium with hallmarks, original from the time and used to celebrate mass. This piece was made in France in 1900; it is greatly preserved and boasts a stylized design. The classic top cross that usually crowns these pieces is missing; instead, there is a silver circular piece in the center of the delicately-engraved flower that decorates the lid. The ciborium has a circular base, sturdy and thick, with the same hallmarks as the cup (the French silver mark and the silversmiths mark). The base is embellished with a simple zigzag fringe scattered with engraved shamrocks. The stem that emerges from the base is beautifully decorated with symmetrical hand-engraved leaves; on top of them there are two nodes of different sizes. The lid and the cup bear show off the same decoration, creating a harmonious set with a medieval-inspired look. As remarkable as authentic, this awesome solid-silver ciborium with hallmarks will shine in the best collection of religious crafts. Measurements: Bases Width: 4.33 in / 11 cm. Top Width: 3.54 in / 9 cm. Height: 7.28 in / 18.5 cm. Weight: 370 g.
