Gorgeous solid-silver antique cruet set with a delicate design and fully decorated with hand-engraved motifs. The cruets come from France and are dated in the 19th century. They are in good condition, with just some slight dents and a small restoration in one lid. Nevertheless, they can be perfectly used. The cruets boast a classic and stylized design with an airy and romantic feeling that turns them into very decorative pieces. The two units bear hallmarks that testify for the silvers origin and quality; more specifically, we can see the French silvers mark and the silversmiths mark (containing the initials C and M). The hand-engraved decoration that embellishes the set is beautiful and subtle, composed of interlaced lines that generate filigrees, arabesques and Pompeian-style floral motifs. This wonderful antique solid silver cruet set is a really attractive item for any collector or person with an interest for religious decorative arts. Measurements: Cruets: Width: 4.92 i n /12.5 cm. Height: 5.70 in / 14.5 cm. Length: 10 in / 25.5 cm. Weight: 381 g.
