Fine antique gold-plated solid-silver chalice with cabochons, made in France in the 19th century and in very good condition. The chalice is adorned with crystal rhinestones in different colors, which together with the gorgeous gold-plating make up a very attractive and special piece. The base has an amber-colored cabochon which looks different from the rest, made of red, blue and green crystal. It was probably mounted later to substitute a missing one. The base is circular and conical in shape; it is decorated with handmade embossed and engraved motifs with stylized abstract designs. Three of the bases sections are adorned with cabochons. The medieval-style node has set rhinestones too: six ones in three different colors. The sub-cup is decorated with three cabochons. All the chalices parts bear the hallmark which identifies antique French silver pieces and the silversmiths mark too. This antique gold-plated solid-silver chalice with cabochons will stand out for its original beauty in any showcase, collection or religious art exhibition. Dimensions: Bases Width: 5.51 in / 14 cm. Height: 10.24 in / 21.5 cm. Cups Width: 3.74 in / 9.5 cm.
