Gorgeous antique gilded-silver chalice of spectacular design, made in France in the 19th century and in very good condition. The chalice is a stylized piece and shows off a beautiful gilded finish, original from the time and wonderfully preserved. The elegant decoration that covers the piece is composed of stylized vine branches framed by gothic-style traceries. The lobed foot is completely covered by these motifs, engraved and embossed by hands. At the front of the chalices foot we can see a Latin cross in front of the branches. The stem is entirely adorned with delicate hand-engraved shapes and has two nodes, a main one and a secondary one. At the top, the subcup is composed of gothic traceries and symmetrical vine leaves, a simple and great-looking decoration. The chalice bears hallmarks at the cup and the foot and comes with a gilded paten, with no decoration at all and no hallmarks. This antique gilded-silver chalice will stand out in any collection or showcase, for its ancient age and its beauty. Dimensions: Chalice: Foots Width: 6.1 in / 15.5 cm. Cups Width: 3.75 in / 9.5 cm.
