Very attractive and antique Spanish solid-silver chalice, made in Spain in the 18th century (circa 1780) and in very good condition. This item stands out for its quality and its beautiful design, entirely covered with hand-engraved motifs. At the foot we see some hallmarks which testify for the ancient age and the quality of the chalice, and tell us that this piece was made in Zaragoza, Spain. The foot is circular in shape and bears hand-engraved motifs. These motifs are symmetrical and simple, and include scrolls and leaves. They covered all the piece, repeating the same pattern all over its surface, from the foot to the subcup. The stem is composed of different nodes: a main and bigger one and two secondary smaller nodes. The subcup shows a wavy design, similar to the foots, and serrated edge. It contains and supports the gilt-silver cup, a fine piece which remains in great condition. This great antique Spanish solid-silver chalice, more than 230 years old, is a really beautiful and original piece. Dimensions: Foots Width: 5.31 in / 13.5 cm. Cups Width: 3.27 in / 8.3 cm.
